Fostering Clinical Reasoning in a Fundamental Intervention Lab

The project received 3 credits of release time in the Fall of 2024 to begin and conduct the study. The project was awarded an additional 3 credits of release time to be used Fall of 2025 to continue the research being done on the effectiveness of changes made in NUR 342 Evidence Based Nursing Intervention course. Data collection occured in Spring 2025 using a Standardized Patient Simulation experience which explored student confidence and ability to make clinical decisions and identify changing client needs requiring clinical reasoning. The release time will be utilized to continue to analyze the data and disseminatation findings.
