Biography

Dr. Md Shafaeat Hossain is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). He received the B.S. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2006. He received the M.S. degree in Computer Science and Ph.D. degree in Computational Analysis and Modeling from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA, USA, in 2012 and 2014, respectively. His research focuses on machine learning, user authentication in smart devices, behavioral biometrics, and multi-biomoetric verification. He received the SCSU Mid-Level Faculty Research Fellowship in 2019. He received several internal and external research grants. He is a member of IEEE.
