Biography

Dr. Kristie Rupp is an Associate Professor of Exercise Science in the Department of Health and Movement Sciences. Dr. Rupp received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh (2016) and completed her Master’s (2011) and Bachelor’s (2010) Degrees at the University of Miami in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Rupp is an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) and practiced clinically as a pediatric exercise physiologist prior to her doctoral training. She currently teaches courses in the graduate and undergraduate Exercise Science programs. Her areas of expertise and research is focused on obesity, psychosocial health, and behavioral health (with an emphasis on physical activity).
