Kauther Badr

Prof. Badr is a duly licensed and practicing attorney. She teaches various business law courses, including Real Estate Law, Employment Law, and Advanced Employment Law. She has an extensive entrepreneurial background. Prior to law school, she owned and operated her own real estate and insurance businesses. She now operates her own law firm and represents clients on a variety of legal matters, including employment, personal injury, contract, and international law issues. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut State courts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She oftentimes represents clients with reduced or no fee agreements, providing legal representation to those who otherwise could not afford it. Prof. Badr is extensively involved with accreditation and assessment efforts at the system (Connecticut State Colleges and Universities--CSCU), School (School of Business), and University (SCSU) levels. At the CSCU level, she co-chairs the Transfer and Articulation Framework Implementation and Review Committee (TAP-FIRC). At the School of Business, she acts as the Accreditation Coordinator and was integral in securing the school's initial AACSB accreditation in the Spring of 2023. She also co-chaired the University Standards and Assessment Review (StAR) committee for almost three years and remains an active member of the committee at present.
