Biography

Frances Penny is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing.  She earned her BSN from Georgetown University, her MPH from Johns Hopkins University and her MSN and PhD from the University of Connecticut where she was a Jonas Nurse Leader Scholar.  She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Certified Nurse Leader. Her clinical experience has focused on pediatrics, pediatric ICU, homecare, public health,  maternal child health and lactation. In addition to her clinical experience she has worked in health care consulting in Washington DC as well as management in healthcare non-profits.
