Biography

Dr. Emma Cross is an Assistant Professor of Coastal/Marine Studies in the Department of the Environment, Geography and Marine Sciences at Southern Connecticut State University. Her research focuses on climate change impacts on marine organisms. Specifically, Dr. Cross investigates how ocean acidification, warming and hypoxia already have and will affect brachiopods (a marine calcifier) and marine fish through fieldwork, experimental approaches and utilizing museum collections. She is an enthusiastic teacher that is passionate about educating students about the marine environment.
