Biography

Alison Wall is a tenured Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business at Southern Connecticut State University. She has been a full-time faculty member at Southern since 2015. In 2019, she became a recognized expert in the Human Resource field by earning her Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification, the global standard in HR certifications. Since then she has received her People Analytics certification, and her People Management Qualification (PMQ). She teaches Human Resource Management and related courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her industry background stems from a managerial position at the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitor’s Bureau where she worked with hotels, event planners, social, civic, and governmental organizations, the media, and local attractions to promote visitation to Northeast Louisiana. Her research interests include research methods and the impact of human resource management policy and practice on individual and organizational performance. Since joining the faculty at SCSU, she has served on a variety of committees as both member, officer, and/or chair including those related to curriculum, global education, online education, assurance of learning, and impact, engagement, and innovation.
